Marketing Monday

I was stunned when I learned that Prince passed away last week. I loved his music. I used to crank “When Doves Cry” on hot summer nights with the windows down. And I felt pretty cool wearing my raspberry beret around Boston when the temperatures dipped. I never imagined we’d lose Prince so soon. But I was happy to see the outpouring of love for this man by so many, including the advertising community. They delivered with these timely, classy tributes:

Here’s what else caught my attention in the past week:

This BRILLIANT blog post from by Rod Geoghegan for #typednotes. It turns out this is not a new post. But this kind of thinking never gets old. I’ll be reading this blog more often.

200 Years of Strange and Embarrassing Presidential Campaign Artifacts from FastCo.Design. Gotta admit my favorite was the Ronald and Nancy Reagan slippers.

149 Marketing Acronyms that Every Online Marketer Needs to Know from Business2Community.com. I edited out the first ones that came to mind. But you can study up here. (You might even feel a whole lot smarter afterward.) Caleb Cousins sure did his homework with this one.

There you have it. More inspiration for your week. See something great? Please share it with me@ameliaostroff.com.
